Low-Density Cement Slurry System


This low-density cement slurry system is formulated using high compressive strength hollow glass microspheres, high-activity fine materials, and particle size distribution technology. It exhibits characteristics such as a low liquid-to-solid ratio, good flowability, low friction, stable settling, slight expansion, low permeability, and high compressive strength. It is suitable for cementing in low-pressure and easily lost-circulation formations as well as for long open-hole or extended casing cementing. From 2020 to 2022, it has been applied in over 150 wells in areas like Sichuan-Chongqing shale gas and the Tarim Basin, consistently delivering high-quality well cementing. In the past three years, the lowest density achieved in the field application of this low-density cement slurry system was 1.20 g/cm³, with a maximum circulating temperature.
